Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are an agreement between you and Ancapit S.R.L ("Calpimet", "we", "us" or "our"), the operator of the Calpimet app at https://calpimet.com. We have tried to keep them short and in plain language. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy (/privacy).

1. What Calpimet is

Calpimet is a tool for sports nutritionists. It helps a nutritionist keep records of her athletes, including anthropometric measurements, body composition, goals and meal-plan instructions, and see at a glance who needs follow-up. Athletes can view the information their nutritionist shares with them through a personal, read-only link, without creating an account.

Calpimet is currently offered at no charge. If that ever changes, we will tell you in advance and nothing will be charged unless you clearly agree to it.

2. Accepting these Terms

By signing in to Calpimet as a nutritionist, or by opening an athlete portal link, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Calpimet.

3. Nutritionist accounts

  • Access is limited to approved accounts. You sign in with Google or with an email address and password, through Amazon Cognito.
  • Your account is for you alone. Do not share it or let others sign in as you.
  • Keep your sign-in details and devices secure, and tell us at hola@calpimet.com if you think someone has accessed your account without permission.
  • Calpimet keeps a copy of your records on your device so it works offline. Anyone who can use your unlocked device may be able to see them, so protect your devices.

4. Your responsibilities as a nutritionist

You decide what you record about your athletes and how you use it. That means you are responsible for:

  • Having a valid basis to record each athlete's data, including their informed consent for health-related data, and registering that consent in Calpimet.
  • For athletes who are minors, obtaining consent from a parent or legal guardian, and sharing the portal link with the parent or guardian or with their agreement.
  • Keeping records accurate, and answering athletes' requests to access, correct or delete their data. We will help you do this.
  • Following the professional, ethical and legal rules that apply to your practice.
  • The messages you send to athletes. WhatsApp links in Calpimet only open WhatsApp with a suggested text; you review and send each message yourself.

Your private notes about an athlete are visible only to you. Do not copy them into instructions or messages meant for the athlete if they are not meant to be shared.

5. The athlete portal

  • The portal link is personal. If you are an athlete, do not share it; anyone with the link may be able to see your information.
  • The portal is read-only and shows what your nutritionist chooses to share. Questions about the content should go to your nutritionist.
  • Your nutritionist can revoke your link at any time, and a new link replaces the old one.

6. Not medical advice

Calpimet is a record-keeping and follow-up tool. It does not provide medical, nutritional or health advice, and it does not replace the professional judgment of the nutritionist. Calculations and summaries in the app are aids, and the nutritionist must check them before relying on them. Athletes should follow the guidance of their nutritionist and other health professionals, not the app on its own.

7. Acceptable use

  • Do not use Calpimet for anything illegal, or to store data you have no right to hold.
  • Do not try to access other people's accounts or data, or to break, overload or get around the security of the service.
  • Do not copy, resell or reverse engineer Calpimet, except where the law expressly allows it.

8. Your content

The records you create in Calpimet are yours. We do not claim ownership of them, and we do not sell or publish them. You allow us to store, sync, back up and display them only as needed to run Calpimet for you and to show athletes their portal. Our Privacy Policy (/privacy) explains how we handle this data.

9. Services we rely on

Calpimet runs on Amazon Web Services in the United States, and uses Google for "Sign in with Google". If one of these providers has an outage or changes its service, Calpimet may be affected. Their own terms may also apply to you.

10. Our intellectual property

The Calpimet app, its design, its name and its branding belong to us. These Terms give you permission to use Calpimet as intended, but they do not transfer any of our rights to you.

11. Availability and changes to the service

We work to keep Calpimet available and your data safe, but we cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may add, change or remove features over time. If we plan to make a change that seriously affects how you use Calpimet, or to shut the service down, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to get a copy of your records.

12. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Calpimet is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions made on the basis of information in Calpimet. Nothing in these Terms limits any right or liability that cannot be limited by law, including your rights as a consumer under Argentine law or the law of the place where you live.

13. Ending your use

You can stop using Calpimet at any time. To close your nutritionist account and have your records deleted, write to hola@calpimet.com. We may suspend or end access if someone seriously or repeatedly breaks these Terms, puts the service or other people at risk, or if the law requires it. Where reasonable, we will tell you first and give you a chance to get a copy of your records.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when Calpimet or the law changes. We will update the effective date above, and for important changes we will let you know in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using Calpimet after that, you accept the updated Terms.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Argentine Republic. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the place where you live. Before starting any formal claim, please write to us at hola@calpimet.com so we can try to solve the issue directly.
